How to screenshot in Chrome on Windows

Full-page capture with Developer Tools

1. 1Open the page in Chrome on WindowsLet the page finish loading and scroll once to the bottom so lazy-loaded images and sections are rendered.
2. 2Open Developer Tools with F12Or press Ctrl + Shift + I. Developer Tools is built into Chrome — no extension required.
3. 3Open the command menuPress Ctrl + Shift + P inside Developer Tools.
4. 4Type 'screenshot'Choose 'Capture full size screenshot' to capture the entire page, including everything below the fold.
5. 5Find the PNGChrome saves the image to your Windows Downloads folder with the page title as the filename.

Capturing a single element

1. 1Right-click the element and choose InspectThe Elements panel highlights the matching node.
2. 2Select the correct nodeMove up the tree until the highlight covers exactly the component you want.
3. 3Press Ctrl + Shift + PType 'node' and choose 'Capture node screenshot'.

When to use a Windows shortcut instead

If the URL bar, extensions or tabs must be visible, use Alt + Print Screen — Chrome's own commands capture page content only.
